Testimonials
"Working with Melissa has truly been life-changing. She has supported me through some of the hardest seasons of my life, especially in learning how to navigate my complicated relationship with loving myself. With her guidance, I’ve been able to work through the challenges of co-parenting with my son’s father while also healing from the trauma I experienced during that relationship. Melissa has helped me build a stronger, more compassionate connection with myself—teaching me to extend the same grace to myself that I so easily give to others. Because of this, I’ve become more grounded, more present, and better able to show up as the mother my two boys deserve. (...)

"Before Agape, I felt stuck in a bubble, not able to communicate well. I felt alone and like I needed to keep my emotions to myself to not overwhelm anyone and just function. Now after therapy, I can be more open and honest with my emotions. I learned to communicate in a healthy way and be able to express my feelings healthier. I am able to cope with grieving much better."

"Estuve aislada y asustada durante mucho tiempo. Me han pasado tantas cosas en los últimos dos años que sentía que nada iba bien. Con la terapia, poco a poco he comenzado a sentirme más normal. Ya no tengo tanto miedo y sé mejores formas de manejar mi ansiedad."

"What stands out most is their ability to be deeply observant and discerning — picking up on things I hadn’t even noticed in myself, and helping me explore them with clarity and care. There’s a strong sense of trust that’s been built, which has made it easier for me to open up and do the deeper work. I’m grateful for the space they’ve created and the insight they continue to offer."

"When I first connected with Melissa I was in a dark place about recent life stressors. I felt hopeless and downtrodden and was looking for a safe space to process the grief and loss of a life I once had. Melissa provided what I needed by fostering a warm welcoming environment and partnership in my healing journey. In the work we have done I have learned to adjust and accept and most of all move on from my past losses."

"I was able to muster some strength and decided to write testimony.
Therapy has given me the opportunity to look within myself and explore my deepest feelings. I’ve learned valuable tools to help me navigate my past traumas, and I’m now able to recognize and understand my triggers. Most importantly, I’m learning not to suppress my feelings but to acknowledge and process them in healthier ways."

I came to Agape a very broken and grief-stricken Mother who had just lost her child.
I felt at the time that there was no way for me to recover from the things that I had been through, but I had another child to consider and so I decided to give therapy a try.
Meeting Melissa has been one of the best things to happen in my life. She is very patient and kind, understanding and professional ... but more importantly she is extremely intelligent and exceptional at what she does. Not only has she helped me to battle my depression head on in my sessions with her, but she has also given me the tools to be able to continue to make strides in my everyday life on my own. (....)

"I have worked with Melissa for three years. I can honestly say she’s been a steady and invaluable support through every season of my life. She has the incredible ability to meet me exactly where I am. Melissa creates a safe space that helps me see things clearly when I’m navigating challenges in my business, relationships or personal growth. I make better decisions and stay grounded while moving toward the life I want. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who truly listens, supports and guides with both compassion and practicality."
